An Opportunity for Price to Shine
In June of 2007, Price moved on to the big leagues. He was drafted as the number one pick overall in the amateur draft. He worked his way up through the minors and made his major league debut with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008 against the Yankees. As a Ray, he left his mark as the first 20-win pitcher in Rays franchise history, the youngest American league pitcher to earn 20 wins in a season since 2004.
Price was traded to the Detroit Tigers in 2014. While representing Detroit, Price was invited for the fifth time to play in the All Star Game. Not long after Price was traded and made his debut as a Toronto Blue Jay where he played for one year. Price made his Red Sox debut in 2016 when he signed a seven year contract with the Boston Red Sox, setting a franchise record.
Dedicated to more than just the game
